Sweet Spot started with two sisters…
…who had a new idea about what a modern candy store could be. We understood that “more” was not nearly as good as “best,” loved the freshness of contemporary design, and believed in the importance of every detail. With four children between us, we held the passionate belief that the right kind of candy at the right time was an irreplaceable part of a happy childhood.
The more we talked about the idea, the more exciting it became.
We had experience in business and catering, and knew how to throw parties and set up imaginative new activities and games. How could we take the tradition of the warm, neighborhood spot to a whole new level? What if we created a destination, an experience; a bright, contemporary place, where families and children and adults could enjoy the pleasures of really good candy, and everyone would feel welcomed and indulged?
So we refined our original ideas, and created Sweet Spot.
We chose talented people to help us choose vibrant colors and original graphics, and to bring the clean, stylish space that we had imagined to life. We searched out intriguing candies and bottled sodas, including things that are unusual, and things we remembered that are now hard to find. We planned special events, and imagined creative ways to enjoy sweet treats in the company of family and friends.
